Notes and observations on some browsers

All the pages on www.avon-house.co.uk have been tested on the following browsers:

Firefox 1.0, 1.5, 2.0
Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0
Konqueror 3.1, 3.4
Mozilla 1.5
Netscape 7.1
Opera 7.2, 9.0
Safari 3.0.3

Apart from the variation in styles, the only difference noted was that IE6 and Konqueror were both a little sluggish at handling Javascript onClick() events.

In addition, the main pages are rendered successfully by the following legacy browsers:

Fresco
Netscape 4.7

Legacy browsers fail to render some of the supporting pages because they lack Javascript support. However, they are so old that I wonder if anyone is still using them.

Tests were carried out on computers using the following operating sysytems:

Linux 2.4 and 2.6 both with KDE
Microsoft Windows98 SE and WindowsXP
Risc OS 3.1 and 3.5
